New Special Train Alert: The issue of waiting tickets in trains is growing steadily before Holi, which can cause difficulties for migrant travelers getting back to their homes. Not getting confirmed seats despite ordering tickets on time irritates many of the passengers. Under such circumstances, the Railways has declared to operate two special trains from Gurgaon to Haridwar and Gorakhpur for the comfort of the travellers.
Two special trains from Gurgaon station to Haridwar and Gorakhpur are running by the railway for the ease of use for Holi festival passengers. March 10–March 31 is the operating range of these trains. This will give the Holi commuters coming home convenience.
Train number 05024, Khatipura (Jaipur)-Gorakhpur Weekly Special Train will leave Khatipura on Monday at 6:50 pm from March 10 to March 31 and arrive Gorakhpur on Tuesday at 2:45 pm, said North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Captain Shashi Kiran.
Which stations ought it to stop at?
Stations of this train service will be Khalilabad, Basti, Gonda, Budhwal, Sitapur, Sitapur City, Bareilly, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Delhi Cantt, Gurgaon, Rewari, Alwar and Bandikui. This train will pass Gurgaon Railway Station around 10:30 pm from Jaipur to Gorakhpur.
It leaves Gorakhpur around 9:15 p.m. on the return trip and arrives at Gurgaon railway station at 1pm the next day. Train number 09425-26 Haridwar-Sabarmati bi-weekly special rail service will leave Haridwar on Friday and Monday from March 10 to March 31 at 9 pm and arrive at Jaipur on Saturday and Tuesday at 11 am and Sabarmati at 10:30 pm.
At Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Falna, Marwar Junction, Beawar, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Bandikui, Alwar, Rewari, Gurgaon, Delhi Cantt, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee stations this train will stop.
This train from Haridwar will reach Gurgaon railway station at 4:45 a.m. The train will pass Gurgaon railway station at 8:20 am from Sabarmati to Haridwar.

Many trains on Delhi-Ambala route have been canceled, hence the crowd in other trains has grown. Many of the passengers must thus travel standing. Though Holi is approaching, the number of people waiting on trains is not declining; most people wish to enjoy major holidays like Holi, Diwali, and Chhath Puja with their families. Furthermore on the IRCTC website, most train tickets are accessible on waiting lists, which has led to passenger concerns growing.

Holi celebrations fall on March 13 and 14, hence many people from different states are returning to their homes. However, in many trains the waiting has increased to more than 100. People are having to modify their travel plans since there is a sizable waiting list in trains departing Delhi to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh.
