iPhone 17 Pro Update: Although the much-awaited iPhone 16e, which Apple recently dropped as its most reasonably priced smartphone, is not yet finished, we all have expectations for the iPhone 17 series, the masterwork of Apple releases. With the iPhone 17 Pro series, performance, display, camera, and design should show some significant advancements. Nowadays, other renders are showing up on the internet; this time, the leaks reveal a fresh cover design ahead of the release, suggesting a possible camera bar look.
The most recent leaked models reveal that the iPhone 17 Pro will have a similar triple camera arrangement as the iPhone 16 Pro, save for a slight twist in the images whereby a new rectangular camera bar with rounded corners is shown. Previously, a YouTube channel called The Front Page Tech also advised the same thing, that the iPhone 17 Pro series might have a redesigned camera bar.
Furthermore, vertically aligned are the LiDAR scanner and LED flash; the positioning for the same has also been altered, and both can now be seen on the right side of the screen as the renders imply. Furthermore, the leaks suggest a darker hue for the camera bar than the rest of the rear body. We still don’t know whether Apple is proceeding with a significant change like this; hence, we must exercise caution with these disclosures. According to MacRumors, which quotes host Jon Prosser’s internal sources, the iPhone 17 Air will have a camera bar, although only one camera. Prosser also acknowledged personally seeing the gadget but did not specify whether this design would apply to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
He further mentioned that iOS 19 would also have a significant redesign of the Camera app, with a design akin to visionOS using translucent menus and buttons. We only anticipate these changes based on leaks. In September, Apple is expected to release the iPhone 17 series comprising the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, we have yet to confirm the precise release date.
